NCAC Beginnings

The North Coast Art Club was officially started in early 2004, but the lead-up to it took more than 6 months.  It was during 2003 that I decided I would like to take my art further and join an Art Club so as to mix with like-minded people and begin to evolve as an artist.

The Northern Suburb population was growing rapidly and the closest art club to the Mindarie region was Wanneroo, who had a waiting list for new members, as they couldn't cope with demand. That is when I realised that we needed a new Art Club, as there were several artists in the area who were looking for the same thing. So with some help of the City of Wanneroo Arts Co-ordinator and lots of time and determination, the North Coast Art Club got started.

Despite our humble beginnings we're now thriving, holding regular exhibitions, annual weekend getaways and monthly workshops.

Our members range from well established artists in their own right, to the more aspiring artists keen to make their mark, but what links us all together is the love of ART.

The North Coast Art Club prides itself in being a friendly organization and we encourage our members to get involved in all of our activities, so we have a lot of fun while at the same time produce a diverse mix of artworks.

Our goals are to present our art to the public and strive to improve our workshops and exhibitions constantly.
